Description Robert Half has an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Collections professional at a growing company. You will be following up with customers to collect on AR balances over 30 days past due. In this role, the candidate will be making inbound and outbound calls in a high volume, fast-paced environment. This is a short-term contract / temporary Accounts Receivable Collections position and is based in the Nottingham, Maryland area.Your responsibilities in this role- Offer information to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders- Balance bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in a number of different ledgers- Verify codes and documents- Be an ambassador of the mission, values, and culture of the organization- Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, eg written correspondence, phone contact, skip-tracing, and making arrangements for payment- Execute a number of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks- Process payments and compile segments of annual reports and monthly closings in compliance with GAAP- Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans Requirements - Reliable skills in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills- 1+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable or collections- Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy- Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field preferred- ERP system experience- Proven knowledge of account management- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience- Excellent customer service and professional communication skills- Proficiency in Debt Collection- Consumer collections experience preferred- Experience with Inbound Outbound CallsRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
