RealStreet currently has a great opportunity for a Senior Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Engineer in Dulles, VA. This individual will support our client, a growing environmental engineering firm. Job Responsibilities The Senior CMT Engineer will oversee other engineers, technicians and special inspectors to deliver results that ensure the goal of exceeding clients' expectations on every project. Additional responsibilities of the Senior CMT Engineer include: Coordinates or directs project budgets to include: Record keeping Materials testing Inspections Ensuring accuracy for all items related to billing for projects Ensuring reports are completed and submitted timely Provide quality engineering services including: Evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria to provide quality engineering services Analyze and review project data to include: Reports Maps Drawings Specifications Oversees soils and concrete testing lab Reviews, authorizes and signs off on technical reports and letters Manage multiple deadlines May perform field work to include: Field testing and site visits Testing and inspecting soil, concrete, asphalt and other construction materials Maintains excellent relationships by responding promptly and communicating those needs to Project Manager Other attributes to perform this job effectively include: Oral and written communication skills Customer service skills Ability to work in an independent or team environment Highly organized individual Job Requirements: Requirements of the CMT Senior Engineer role include: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field Ten (10) + years of experience PE license in Virginia or ability to obtain within 6 months Understand the processes and reporting required by the International Building Code(IBC) chapter 17 version 2015 Technical skills, including proficiency with: Microsoft Office Suite AutoCAD Version 22 or higher - experience in Spectra QEST a plus Benefits RealStreet offers a comprehensive benefit package which includes: Paid Time Off Paid Holidays 401(k) Retirement Plan with generous company match Medical Insurance Plan which includes prescription coverage Voluntary Vision Insurance Dental Insurance Life Insurance & Long-term Disability Build a better construction career with RealStreet!
