Overview Supervise, coordinate, and manage daily operations of home construction, including, but not limited to scheduling, material ordering and check-in, quality control, trade partner management and effective material control. Mentor, train and supervise construction team while monitoring adherence to company policies/procedures and progress in the construction process. Also monitors production and quality related functions, OSHA, Storm Water Management and Land Development turnover to the Construction Department. Responsibilities Production:Manage and direct all aspects of construction in assigned neighborhoodsSchedule and supervise daily trade partner activities in accordance with job schedules and business partner scopes of workEnsure that work is in compliance with City or County requirements and building codesMaintain records of all change orders and/or purchase orders in a communityApprove all trade partner invoices upon satisfactory completion of the jobProvide trade partner feedback to the Director of Construction and Customer Care concerning the trade partner's timeliness and attention to detailInspect each home under construction ensuring that the work is done to specificationsEnsure timely home completion and deliveriesEnsure job site cleanliness and safetyFrequently inspects homes for quality complianceCoordinate municipality inspectors to ensure timely approvals of development phasesMaintain customer and trade partner relationsWork with the construction team regarding Storm Water Management. This will include monitoring Subdivision Inspections, Storm Water Management Books, Rainfall, Notice of Intents and Notice of Terminations as well as company policies regarding storm water management.Meet established Regional/Divisional goals set while demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness to ensure quality of workCommunicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in written correspondenceWork closely with the construction team to ensure open communication on all matters; develop a strong environment conducive to proactive resolution of issues and strong commitment to producing a quality end resultOther duties as assigned Management:Manage, supervise and direct all aspects of construction for assigned community or communitiesSupervise Senior Construction Managers/Construction Managers and warranty performanceConduct field meetings with trade partners, construction staff and sales staffManage departmental performance against agreed targets and budgets, and within policies and standardsAbility to effectively manage the turnover of new neighborhoods, with the site books completed, to the assigned construction manager.Conduct quarterly reviews of the divisions Storm Water Management program and present the findings to senior management Work closely with the construction team to ensure open communication on all matters; develop a strong environment conducive to proactive resolution of issues and strong commitment to producing a quality product#CB Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required, or equivalent work experienceBachelor's degree in related field preferredMinimum 8 yrs. experience in project/construction management in residential construction requiredMinimum 3 yrs. experience in directing, coordinating, and supervising construction staffAssociate is prohibited from performing manual repairs/workValid Driver's License with good driving recordValid auto insurance coverageAdvanced knowledge of scheduling, budgeting and document managementAbility to read and interpret blue printsComputer literacy and proficient in MS Office products (Word and Excel)Excellent follow-up, communication (written and verbal) and time management skills Type Regular Full-Time
