The Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter at Merritt Group and Cutline Communications will be the first impression of the agency to potential candidates. Working directly with the Vice President, Human Resources, they will assist with recruiting, interviewing and hiring, benefits administration, company policies and practices, and office management. They are a detail-oriented problem-solver with excellent verbal, nonverbal and written communication skills.RECRUITING KEY FUNCTIONSRecruiting: Creatively use online recruiting sources, job boards, professional networking sites, social media, and direct sourcing to identify and recruit qualified candidates for open positions. Proactively source, attract, and maintain pipeline of existing and potential candidates for future positions.Communication: Regularly update hiring managers on status of their open positions. Maintain constant contact with candidates and provide appropriate feedback, ensuring a positive candidate experience.Creativity: Identify recruiting trends and new ways to engage with candidates and increase Merritt Group and Cutline's brand awareness. Establish relationships and oversee recruitment events such as career fairs, outreach programs, open houses, etc.Metrics: Ensure compliance with our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), HRIS system, and census, provide metrics on an ongoing basis.Administrative Duties: Create, update, and maintain recruiting process documents including job descriptions, offer, benefits, and onboarding documents.HR GENERALIST KEY FUNCTIONSBenefits Administration: Assist with benefits administration for new and exiting employees, open enrollment, and other qualifying life event changes.Employee Development & Recognition: Implements new hire orientations, employee recognition programs, and annual reviews.Payroll: Ensure any changes to pay, benefits, etc are communicated in a timely manner.Compliance: Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.KEY SOFT SKILLSDiscretion & Good Judgment: This position handles a significant amount of confidential and sensitive information and continually makes judgment calls regarding priorities and information requests.Action-Oriented: Able to identify problems and work proactively with managers to find solutions.Team Player: Provide support for every aspect of designated accounts and work closely with teammates to deliver exceptional results. Work well in a collaborative team environment.Communicate with Candor: Open to new ideas and change, and committed to being direct in all communication with colleagues and teammates.
