Chancellor's Village is seeing a Dining Services Supervisor to join its team. This position is responsible for ensuring a high-quality dining experience by greeting residents and guest and overseeing dining room staff. The Dining Services Supervisor ensures all service staff is well trained, knowledgeable about all menus and that all dining room employees are providing a high degree of hospitality and service, in accordance with Navion Senior Solutions standards. This position manages Bussers, Servers and Utility workers.Basic Qualifications: A' . Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.A' . General/Managerial/Food Service area of study.A' . Entry level (0-3 years) experience.A' . Previous food service experience.A' . SERVE-SAFE certified, obtain any local, state and/or county food handling/sanitation licenses and/or certificates.A' . Basis computer skills.A' . Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward customers and co-workers.Performance Requirements: A' . Supports mission, vision and goals of the organization, upholding and promoting company culture and vision.A' . Demonstrates a positive working relationship with residents, family members and staff.A' . Promotes and protects residents rights and treats residents with dignity and respect.A' . Attends in-services and relevant training courses as needed.A' . Demonstrates the ability to remain calm under stressful conditions.A' . Maintains confidentiality of resident information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.A' . Maintains professional appearance by adherence to community dress code.A' . Work schedules and assigned tasks are completed in accordance to the established policies and procedures of the community.A' . Safety precautions and practices are utilized with all activities.ResponsibilitiesA' . Supervise daily operation of dining room(s), room service and convenience store.A' . Ensure room service orders are delivered timely and properly.A' . Ensure smooth and timely opening of the dining room.A' . Inspect side work to ensure completion and closes dining room.A' . Assist in producing weekly schedules with budgetary guidelines for service staff.A' . Ensure an adequate number of service employees each shift and ensures absence are covered as to not allow coverage holes.A' . Lead the training of all new dining room employees.A' . Assist service staff during mealtime as needed.A' . Conduct required training sessions, weekly/monthly/quarterly.A' . Oversee resident billing of food service charges.A' . Maintain the resident request logbook and forward this request to the Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Director.A' . Knowledgeable of all menus and descriptions.A' . Provide supervision for special functions.A' . Assist in employing appropriate loss prevention procedures.A' . Assist in hiring, training, disciplining and terminating departmental employees in accordance with Navion Senior Solutions policies.A' . Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment and the achievement of safe working practices.A' . Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.A' . Adhere to all policies and procedures of Navion Senior SolutionsA' .
