Experience: Mid-LevelTravel Required: 20%Overview of the Role:The Senior Accountant reports to the Accounting Director and contributes to preparing timely and accurate financial statements and reports with particular focus on joint ventures, acquisitions, and other non-standard contractual arrangements. Enters journal entries, reconciles cash and general ledger accounts, prepares ad-hoc and recurring financial reports and analysis, prepares and executes distributions, documents business processes and transactions, and assists with special projects when necessary. The Senior Accountant is expected to take ownership of processes and procedures under their purview and demonstrate subject matter expertise. Also, the Senior Accountant is expected to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and then work with departmental and cross-departmental teams to implement improvements.Primary Job Duties:Prepare journal entries accurately, timely, and with appropriate supporting documentation.Prepare monthly bank and general ledger account reconciliations.Contribute to and lead portions of month end close processes. Develop subject matter expertise in joint venture and acquisition agreements and arrangements and contribute to improvement efforts.Seek and identify opportunities for operational improvement, recommend modifications to accounting processes, marshal resources to implement improvement efforts.Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Ensure that desktop procedures are complete, accurate, and updated timely for areas of responsibility.Support internal and external audits.Lead special projects and ad-hoc analysis as needed.Assist in training other team members.Perform other tasks as assigned.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required. Related fields include Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or Accounting/Management Information Systems.3-5 years of direct accounting experience required. Month end close experience preferred.Working knowledge of finance and accounting functions, including revenue recognition, expense accruals, financial reporting, budgeting, debt, and cost allocations. Systems integrations and internal controls experience preferred.Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.Experience with ERP systems a plus. Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred but not required.Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and basic awareness of other comprehensive bases of accounting (eg IFRS, cash/tax basis, etc.).CPA or CPA candidate preferred, but not required.Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations.Additional InformationPhysical Demands:Definition: works constantly at a computer or other workstation with frequent need to travel and perform other light physical activitiesField Professional (travel including driving but no real physical demands apart from that)Ability to constantly remain in a stationary positionAbility to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as computer and printerAbility to read and use close vision, including the ability to do so on a computer screenAbility to use distance visionAbility to frequently communicate and exchange informationAbility to frequently adjust focusAbility to move about the office or to other locations as neededAbility to occasionally position self to maintain equipment or materials including under desksAbility to occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 15 pounds, usually in the form of boxes or other small packagesA$ A' "A' ?Technical Requirements (for remote workers):In order to successfully work remotely, supporting our patients and providers, we require a minimum of 5 MBPS for Download Speed and 3 MBPS for the Upload Speed.
