Business Immigration - Staff and Associate Attorneys (NIV)Erickson Immigration Group has several career opportunities for experienced Staff and Associate Business Immigration Attorneys (NIV) to join our expanding team based out of our Headquarters office in Arlington, VA.Remote or Hybrid work locations.Primary Work Responsibilities: Staff Attorney** JD and active bar license and less than 1 year of business immigration attorney experience**.Under the supervision of a Senior Attorney: Drafts RFE Responses. Manage NIV Extension Cases and Visa Packages Draft NOJOs and collect supporting documentation. Perform legal research and draft FAQs and PowerPoint presentations. Communicate with foreign nationals and manage global case coordination. Conducts global immigration case assessments. Primary Work Responsibilities:Associate Attorney** 1-3 years business immigration attorney work experience**. Maintains ownership and ultimate responsibility for a full docket of 200-300 business immigration - Non-Immigrant Visa (NIV) cases at a time. Leads RFE Responses (if assigned to RFE team) Audits projects that include PA files, data, and global billing. Alias responses visibility but not required to respond unless instructed Primary lead on US Assessments Legal Research (Memos and write ups) Manages H-1B Cap Cases. Global caseload coordination without supervision, instruct SAs/ LCs/PCs Prepares client presentations Ensures that Paralegals draft, organize, and file immigration documentation in a thorough and timely manner. Carefully and promptly reviews Paralegal work products. Utilizes high-level business immigration law knowledge and precise attention to detail to ensure the team produces error-free legal work. Researches and analyzes the law on complex immigration issues. Synthesizes legal research and analyses into written memoranda or briefs and perform case work Analyzes and summarizes complex legal documents. Identifies potential immigration issues and develop strategies to address them. Conducts and participates in client meetings and calls. Member of a State Bar and in good standing with the associated State Bar Associations. Professional work experience as a Business Immigration Attorney. See number of years experience required, above. Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making, take ownership of the teams docket, and operate at a senior level. High-level understanding of immigration law. Precise attention to detail. Ability to review Paralegal work product carefully and promptly. Ability to train and engage Paralegal teams. Excellent organizational, written, verbal and presentation skills, including active listening. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Effective written and verbal communications skills, as appropriate for the needs of the audience (clients, governmental agencies, internal and external resources). Logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, and approaches to problems. Strong organizational & time management skills, with the ability to prioritize. Ability to generate work product with considerable accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service. Works independently toward team goals. Outstanding case/project management skills. Works well in a team environment. Strong team focus that assists to foster a sense of community within the firm. Multi-tasking and fulfills daily responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment. Accepts and adapts to feedback regarding work performance Fluency of the English language in both written and verbal forms.
