Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant (LAA) with real estate finance experience to join our finance practice in the Washington DC office. The ideal candidate is someone who is energetic, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities and understands the cycle of a real estate transaction. The selected individual work within a team of LAAs to liaison between attorneys, project assistants, paralegals and clients.Required SkillsApplicants must have the ability to work effectively both independently, as well as, within a team to assist attorney in the production of transactional documents. Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently under specific time constraints. The selected individual must possess top-notch organizational skills, good communication skills and have excellent spelling, grammar and proofreading skills. Intermediate level skills working with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems. Required ExperienceIdeal candidates for this position will have 2-3 years of commercial real estate experience with a law firm, title company, mortgage company or other related entity. Previous experience with loan closings or Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, a plus. Must be able to work overtime, when needed.
