Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking a high performing and detail-oriented individual to assist attorneys in the closing of commercial real estate financings in our Washington DC office. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement of 3 days a week in the office. The successful candidate will have significant experience with title & survey review, due diligence review, negotiation of loan documents, UCC searches/filings and organizing closing documentation.Required SkillsThis position requires a demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly excellent technical writing skills, are essential. Must be able to work independently, as well as with a team and with clients. Intermediate-level skills working with Microsoft Office applications, document management systems and time-keeping software are necessary. Must be able to work overtime when needed.Required ExperienceThe ideal candidate for this position will have a college degree and 2+ years commercial real estate experience with a law firm, title company, commercial lender or other related entity. Title, plat, and survey review and experience with the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac DUS program or FHA-insured commercial mortgage loans is required.
