Position OverviewSupport the use of Siemens EDA's Calibre technologies in the design of complex application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) designs for the most advanced military and aerospace companies. This position brings a highly technical role to SGT's team and will be based in the continental United States. As a Physical Verification Consultant, you will be enabling some of our most important customers to be successful with their ASIC/FPGA designs. This position requires a strong confidence in verifying physical layout compliance within our Customer's ASIC products, as well as enabling them to utilize our advanced methodologies around our Calibre tool suite. Your focus will primarily be the domestic aerospace and defense market including DoD, DoE and US Government organizations.Job Qualifications The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience: BSEE or BSCS, or equivalent; MSEE preferred7+ years of ASIC physical verification experience Proven experience working with backend layout designers to drive solutions to issues found in physical verification Strong expertise in physical verification to debug LVS/DRC issues at block level using Calibre tool suiteExperience in Calibre physical verification tools including: Calibre DRC, LVS, and xRC/xACTTrack record in performing physical verification on large hierarchical designs at both the block level and chip level Experience in Calibre PERC is a plusKnowledge of Calibre SVRF language is a plusExperience with Global Foundries advanced technology nodes (14/12nm) is a plusExperience in full product life cycle of ASIC DesignShell scripting and Unix knowledge (eg, Tcl, Python or Perl)Effective communication skillsSelf-motivated and self-disciplined with a high proficiency in technical problem solvingUS Citizenship is mandatoryExisting DoD Secret clearance is mandatoryJob Description: The Physical Verification AE will be responsible for: Helping customers leverage the full capability of Calibre EDA software and methodologies byProviding technical support for Calibre product evaluationsProviding technical guidance in physical verification flow and methodology developmentSupporting new tool/flow deploymentsProviding presentations on tool capabilities and best-known methodsArticulating relevant customer technical requirements and influencing the Calibre product team to shape product directionBuilding and maintaining ongoing positive relationships with customersWorking collaboratively with team members to ensure mutual successDelivering consulting services covering a broad range of physical verification activitiesLeading and executing consulting programs and working with customers to implement and deploy physical verification flowsTravel will be involved mainly within the USEmployees of Siemens Government Technologies may be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in accordance with the workplace safety protocols for Federal contractors and subcontractors pursuant to Executive Order 14042 or state/local laws and regulationsSecurity Clearance:Candidate must be a US citizen and have an active DoD security clearanceOrganization: Country Functions & DepartmentsCompany: Siemens Government Technologies, Inc.Experience Level: Mid-level ProfessionalJob Type: Full-timeEqual Employment Opportunity StatementSiemens is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
