We are seeking recovery companions to join our team! You will be responsible for assisting clinical teams' treatment plans as well as providing motivation and accountability to individuals in early recovery from Substance Use Disorder. Our companions provide 24/7 accountability and support to the individuals we work with. It is necessary that an applicant be willing to move to a new location, and provide live-in support, and work with clients during the early stages of their recovery. Recovery Companions will walk clients through: Exploring values Exploring and working on motivation, patience, and hope Expressing, motivating, and practicing ways of challenging old behaviors Helping the people we work with to set goals and support them on their journey to achieving them Supporting and following guidance from the work of the treatment team, therapist, or clinicians. Working on soft introductions to recovery fellowships, or motivating clients through therapeutic work The Recovery Companion's goal is to create the best possible chance of recovery for their client. In order to do so, they not only offer the tools necessary for recovery but they work to build the motivation to use those tools by covering the dangers of substance abuse and providing the tools for a healthy life that is so much more rewarding than their former. Companions will provide clear-cut directions for the client in order to offer the greatest opportunity for success and to build confidence in their new way of life. Companions are responsible for thorough reporting on daily interactions. *Responsibilities:Advise individuals with substance use disorders Develop and oversee personal recovery plans Establish treatment goals and milestones with clients Prepare progress reports for relevant parties Connect individuals with resources in their community Schedule activities and engage individuals with positive support Medication Management Help to build structure and routine**Qualifications:Previous experience in counseling, social work, treatment, or other related fields Experience in conflict resolution Excellent written and verbal communication skills**About You:Compassionate and caring Ability to rapidly build rapport with clients Lived experience with substance use disorder In Long Term Recovery from Substance Use Energized Passionate Personal Nurturing Mentoring*Job Types: Full-time, ContractPay: From $15,000.00 per monthApplication Question(s):Are you in long-term recovery from addiction?Have you previously worked in a Mental Health Treatment environment?Education:Associate (Preferred)Work Location: On the road
