Phantom Fireworks, America's largest consumer fireworks retail company, is seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO). This position will be responsible for overseeing the IT Department and will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and the Executive Team. The position will primarily be remote, with occasional travel to the corporate office and showrooms required.About Us Phantom Fireworks was founded in and is currently headquartered in Youngstown, OH. We operate 85+ year-round retail showrooms in 15 states with plans to open 4-6 additional locations per year, over 1,500 temporary locations in 17 states, as well as other divisions such as chain stores, wholesale, and multiple warehouse distribution centers.As a member of the Executive Team, the CIO will collaborate with senior leaders to develop and execute strategic plans to enhance the use of information technology in support of Departmental objectives and in alignment with its strategic plan.Primary Responsibilities: Oversee internal IT Department consisting of 10+ full time employees, in addition to interns and temporary contract workers;Direct and organize IT project management;Set objectives and strategies for the IT Department to meet the company's financial needs and business goals;Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services;Practice asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment;Recruit qualified staff, assist with training and developing staff as needed, identify performance objectives, and monitor and provide feedback on performance;Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain competitive advantage;Proactively identifies business issues, researches options, and recommends solutionsCreating and implementing IT policies, protocols, and standards; andPerforms other related duties as assigned.Required Experience: Bachelor's degree in management information systems, computer information systems or related field; Master's degree preferred;Proven project management experience in planning and executing enterprise-level IT projects;In-depth experience in technology strategy, analysis, and planning;Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills;Integrity and trustworthiness with confidential data; andAbility to travel for meetings, trade shows, etc.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayEducation:Bachelor's (Preferred)Experience:IT management: 3 years (Preferred)Technology management: 3 years (Preferred)Retail IT: 2 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
