Inventory Support Technician / Jr. IT Support - Centreville, VA 20120 System One has a temp to hire employment conversion opportunity for an Inventory Associate / IT Support to work in our client's corporate office. The Computer Inventory Management Technician requires the ability to perform inventory records maintenance and analysis and keeping the computer systems accurate by performing several functions. Responsible for data entry of all warehouse paperwork, receiving documentation, issues, asset transfers, shipping documents and cycle count adjustments. Additionally, the associate may perform daily cycle counts on items in the warehouse, comparing the physical counts to the computer counts and performing an analysis on any discrepancies found. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Important United States Citizenship is required Will pass / complete all onboarding requirements Local candidates only / no relocation Must be fully vaccinated Inventory Associate / IT Support Requirements This position requires at least 2-4 years of experience in a warehouse and one year experience performing inventory analysis and cycle counting. Must also have computer experience, including knowledge of Microsoft software, warehouse management software and shipping and transportation software. The inventory associate must work well in a team environment. Must be good with numbers, have an attention to detail and an analytical mind. Must work well under pressure and be able to make decisions quickly. Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) Cert. - Nice to Have Must have basic Computer / IT Skills Must be very detail oriented and able to keep organized Must be able to get along with the team it is a small group. Specific Responsibilities: Provides in-person or remote technical support for the installation, repair and preventive maintenance of personal computers, individual workstations and related software and hardware. Responsible for ensuring policies and procedures are followed for hardware sanitization and disposal. Responsible to oversee depot assets are accounted for and in a secure environment. Provides regular support in modifying, upgrading or enhancing existing standard hardware. Assures that all activities are documented and reported according to Parsons and IS standards. Maintains a good general knowledge of the IS environment and the technologies associated with individual computers, workstations, software and associated hardware. Performs the regular activities required to set up standard personal computing hardware. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position that may be appropriate. Skills/Competencies: A working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and applications as well as knowledge of personal computer technology, including a variety of computer models, printers and peripherals. Good customer service skills. Ability to identify, analyze and resolve common technical issues, questions and problems with standard workstation, hardware and software configurations. Written and oral communication skills appropriate for the position, including the ability to speak well in basic professional situations (may include communication via telephone or in person). Ability to write basic documents (may include email or memos). Typically communicates with a limited group of individuals (employees and some managers) throughout the organization and may occasionally communicate with those outside of the organization (ie clients, vendors).
