We are seeking a Laboratory Technician, Sample Management to join our Germantown, MD team!As a Laboratory Technician, Sample Management, you will be responsible for managing and accurately documenting the handling of all biological samples and reference materials, including the receipt, packing, shipping, archiving, and inventory management, as well as maintaining the sample inventory areas and associated equipment.Coordinates the handling of biological samples and reference standards internallyEnsures all samples and storage containers are labeled clearlyEnsures appropriate storage conditions for all incoming samplesEnsures all samples are stored adequatelyMaintains accurate records of sample storagePrepares sample inventories and sample requests/receipts for archivingArranges sample destruction when advised and properly document sample destructionPackages biological samples and completes all required documentationPrepares study materials for domestic and international shipmentsNotify study supervisors, and sponsors of shipping tracking numbers and verifies deliveryForecasts necessary storage space requirementsEnsures the temperature of all storage units are monitored and warning alerts put in placeEnsures sample inventory records and processing source documentation are made available during sponsor QA audits and regulatory inspections Qualifications: ?Bachelor of Science in related field required1+ years of laboratory sample processing experience preferredProven problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
