The Jr. System Administrator will report to the Director of Infrastructure. The Jr. System Administrator is responsible for ensuring branch technology is adequate to provide top-level service to Andrews Federal members. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.This individual will assist project teams with technical issues in the initiation, planning and implementation phases. These activities include the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy; research & development within the project life-cycle; technical analysis and design; and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions.*ESSENTIAL DUTIES* The positions essential duties include the following:Support and maintain credit union hardware: PCs, printers, scanners, VoIP phones, servers, networking equipment, virtualization, and other enterprise technologySupport and maintain credit union software: Microsoft Windows and Office, Adobe Acrobat, Jack Henry & Associates software, other financial platforms.Travel to branch locations as needed for support and maintenanceWork and coordinate with technical support personnel, both internal and external (vendors), to provide fast resolutions for users on desktop/server related issuesRecord and manage incidents in appropriate problem management tools, being sure to follow up and ensure that resolutions are implementedParticipate in after-hours and weekend on call support rotation for end user workstations, network, and serversEvaluate and install new software releases, system upgrades, patches, and resolve software-related problemsParticipate in testing and recommending various hardware and software technologies that will improve performance and reliabilityProvide desktop, phone, and remote support to all staff members, assist in Helpdesk related tasks.Maintain Helpdesk tickets and assignment of tickets.Maintain high level of proficiency with the Andrews Federals products and services.Assist in any other directives given by the Director of Infrastructure.EDUCATION**Associate degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 2+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.LENGTH OF REQUIRED EXPERIENCE**2+ years experience supporting Microsoft Desktop/Laptops (Windows OS)REQUIRED EXPERIENCE**Requires a Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or five years of experience in Windows environment.Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, including Windows.Experience in technical phone support and/or troubleshooting a plus.Must have excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Must be self-motivated and detail-oriented.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time performing various computer-related tasks.Requires the ability to lift 50 lbs., as well as bend, stoop and climb a ladder.Must have the ability to use telephone, computer, and copier, fax machine and calculator.Must be willing to travel to various Andrews Federal European locations.In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, it is possible that requirements may be modified to reasonably accommodate disabled individuals.
