You must be able to work independently and collaborate across multiple teams to accomplish organizational goals. In this role you will be part of a team that specializes in building and maintaining systems that enable Capital One's internal associates to become more productive and achieve their personal and professional goals. As part of an HR Tech team that's leading the next wave of technology modernization, you will play an integral part in advancing Capital One's engineering and operational excellence utilizing CI/CD practices and the Cloud. Responsibilities & Expectations:Thrive in a rapidly evolving environment and adapt to frequent transitions in technologies and teamsPerform in-depth analysis on HR Data, Governance, and Transformation Initiatives and drive data solutions across the HR TechPartner with product owners in the HR community to refine intent and groom Agile stories and translate business requirements into technical specificationsLearn and analyze complex, interconnected business processes/systems and assimilate information from a variety of sources into one comprehensive documented view. Provide technical guidance concerning business implications of application development projects.Manage complex troubleshooting efforts that cross multiple platforms and technical disciplinesApply problem-solving techniques to lead application design discussions and resolve technical issues while mentoring junior engineersLeverage strong analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with HR business customers, SaaS and PaaS vendor partners, and other engineers, solving complex business problemsImplement scalable, highly available, and resilient system solutions based on distributed architecture principlesLeverage deep application and platform expertise to lead the planning and deployment of Cloud solutions into production environments Design and develop automation workflows, performing unit tests and conducting reviews to make sure your work is rigorously designed, elegantly coded, and effectively tuned for platform performance, and assessing the overall quality of delivered components. Research and develop cutting edge technologies to accomplish goals across the organization, with a passion to learn and grow.Drive cross-team design and influencing/development via technical leadership/mentoring.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or Military experience At least 5 years of experience in managing data systems, delivering data solutions, data analysis and research. At least 2 years of experience with cloud based hosting solutions. At least 2 years of experience working in Agile practices At least 2 years of experience building, deploying, and testing in AWS Cloud At least 2 years of experience Data Modeling, Database Development, or Database Administration. Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree 8+ years of experience in managing data systems, delivering data integrations, data analysis and research. 3+ years of experience computing across the AWS platform/AWS native technologies (S3, Redshift, EMR/EC2, Lambda).3+ years of experience with large-scale data solution implementations3+ years of experience working in Agile environment 3+ years of experience building, deploying, testing in AWS CloudAWS certifications (Data Analytics, Solution Architect-professional)At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.No agencies please.
