(HealyKohler) is a Museum Planning and Exhibit Design company located in an emerging neighborhood of Washington DC, with easy access to the Maryland suburbs. We are seeking an experienced, full-time marketing lead who will work with our principals to elevate our brand and broaden our reach. Our clients include public and private museums, universities, military institutions, cultural centers, and sports institutions.As a department of one, the primary responsibility of this position is to proactively find and develop new business opportunities, working closely with a dynamic team and an engaged leader. You'll lead the proposal process for both invited and open-bid RFPs; represent HealyKohler in the market through networking, conferences, and research-based client targeting; develop and execute on a vibrant marketing plan; and be responsible for maintaining an active corporate presence on social media.This role requires strong writing skills, confident interpersonal communication, and the ability to think strategically, as well as execute tactically.Responsibilities Lead the response to RFPs Represent HealyKohler at pre-bid meetingsAdvise on go/no go decisionsContribute to strategy development for winning bidsProject manage the proposal processPrepare qualification statements, proposal packages, and presentations, including pricingCreate and manage marketing collateral Draft, edit, organize, and proofread collateral, including proposal content, project sheets, resumes, brochures, interview content, and presentationsEnsure content is comprehensive, competitive, and client specificMaintain industry and competitor awareness Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/servicesIdentify and track business opportunitiesResearch trendsRepresent HealyKohler in the market Deliver engaging presentations for both clients and prospects, often with colleaguesRepresent HealyKohler at conferences and marketing venuesOrganize conference booths including displays and marketing materialsClient relationships Cultivate new relationships, including through direct approaches to prospects, networking, and bid opportunitiesMaintain and nurture long-term trusting relationships with clientsQualifications Required: A degree in marketing, communications, English, graphics, or a related fieldExceptional written and verbal communication skills5+ years' experience in exhibit design, architecture, or related communities, familiarity with the museum/exhibit industry is preferredHigh level of proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office SuiteConfidence and experience with social media and email marketing, as well as initiating client and prospect connectionsStrong organizational and time management skills, including managing multiple overlapping deadlinesStrong skills in collaboration and managing up, as well as the ability to manage project assignments from start to finish with minimal oversightMust be competitive, outgoing, tenacious, and excited by a challengeThis role is 100% in-person, including both local and long-distance travel (10%) for pursuits and client connection.Cover letterResume with salary requirementsPortfolio including relevant work samples - a writing sample must be includedLinks to relevant online profiles or workJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Washington, DC 20011: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Application Question(s):Are you highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office?How much experience do you have competing for RFP's?How much experience do you have in the exhibit design, museum or architecture communities?Education:Bachelor's (Preferred)Work Location: One location
