Job Summary:
Westat is seeking a research assistant to join a multidisciplinary team of public health researchers conducting research and evaluation studies in addition to providing technical assistance in community-engaged research to NIH awardees to address health disparities and promote health equity related to the impact of COVID-19.  This position is to work full time and is eligible for a flexible telework schedule.  

Job Responsibilities:
•    Work with study collaborators to develop and implement study protocols, maintain study documents, and support project-related day-to-day study communications. 
•    Support interdisciplinary team of researchers to collect quantitative and qualitative data.
•    Perform data management and analysis of qualitative or quantitative data. 
•    Conduct appropriate research to contribute to material development and data collection instruments. 
•    Work with multimedia designers to develop effective ways to present and visualize data and create a range of print and electronic materials for reports, key meetings, presentations and other work products. 
•    Support the provision of technical assistance, including developing materials and working directly with recipients of technical assistance. 
•    Provide administrative support in meeting logistics and facilitation of key scientific meetings and work groups (e.g., agenda setting, coordinating, note-taking).
•    Proactively identify and propose solutions for project challenges.

Basic Qualifications:
•    A Master's degree, preferably in public health or a health science related field is required.

Minimum Qualifications:
•    Strong computer skills, excellent written and oral communication skills; organizational skills. 
•    Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; be detail-oriented; and work well in a fast-paced team environment. 
•    Ability to communicate effectively both orally and verbally, using generally accepted correspondence and report formats.
