Let your imagination take flight supporting the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD). Looking to find work that stimulates your mind, challenges your skills, and satisfies your curiosity? MIL currently holds several multi-year contracts with NAWCADVAIR in the areas of Cyber, C5ISR, and Information Technology systems.

The MIL Corporation is seeking Engineering Aides to work supporting the Combat Identification Branch under NAVAIR at our Southern Maryland location. The Engineer Aide will assist in designing a secure architecture compatible with its weapons and control systems. This will involve gathering protocol and architecture information from the user, and application of pre-determined architecture characteristics to provide a Secure Cyber Architecture Baseline that can be transposed to multiple similar architectures.

Key Duties
  • Perform various engineering and technical support tasks.
  • Review, update and maintain electronic documents.

Required Qualifications
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Some familiarity with Linux (preferably RedHat, CentOS, or Fedora), networking, and programming (BASH, C/C++, Python, Ruby etc.).
  • Some familiarity with cybersecurity and system hardening.
  • Per federal guidelines, you may be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to obtain vaccination.

Education

HS/GED and relevant experience.

Clearance

All applicants for this position must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; please note that the clearance process takes into account financial background aspects.
