REMOTE - Business Development Key Account Manager
HearthSong is currently looking for a Business Development Sales Manager. The position will be remote, but the right candidate will need to be based within reasonable driving distance to our Madison, VA office. The Business Development Manager is expected to travel to our Madison office at least 1-2 times per month.Position Summary:When HearthSong is at work, joy is at play. Come join our team!The right person for our team has a passion for creating and cultivating lasting relationships with retail partners as well as internal stakeholders, driving opportunities for growth.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDuties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:Cultivate and maintain effective business relationships with executive decision makers in strategic accounts, managing a personal portfolio of accounts by taking over existing accounts and adding new accounts in 2022Pursue identified business prospects, participating actively in the planning and sales process for new business opportunities.Collaborate with marketing resources and the product team to refine overall sales strategy, and to develop products and solutions responsive to the customer's business.Win at digital meetings, and travel to customers and trade shows as opportunities present themselvesPartner with ISR's where appropriate to leverage their customer relationships for profitable revenue growth.Lead the detailed execution needed for your account portfolio - you own the opportunity beginning to endPerform all other duties as needed or required to maintain and grow profitable business within the assigned account base.The requirements listed below represent the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required, to perform job function:Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field.3+ proven consultative sales history in CPGProven track record of leading personal sales portfolio, preferably in a wholesale business.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Strong ability to use technology and analysis tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.)Demonstrate strong understanding of selling/servicing independent retail stores and key accounts.Proven ability to develop sales and expense budgets demonstrating a solid finance understanding.
