Seeking a server systems administrator. Duties will include, but not limited to, serving as primary point of contact for syslog aggregation to corporate audit reduction tool, managing/maintaining Maven Central imports, and maintaining core Atlassian infrastructure. The Linux Systems Engineer must have Cloud Computing experience in installing, administering, and supporting Linux operating systems across several Linux platforms (eg, RedHat, CentOS, Fedora, and Solaris). Experience with both relational and cloud database concepts and technologies is required, to include MySQL RDBMS. In addition, scripting experience in shell, Perl, and Python is desired to automate several areas of system administration. Candidate shall have experience in configuration and management of DNS, LDAP, Puppet, VMWare vCenter and other enterprise level services. The candidate shall have experience with network and server IAVA review, security scanning, and reporting as well as Atlassian product line management servers (ie Software and plugins). Finally, experience with Nagios open source tool to support system-wide monitoring and alerting services for servers, network appliances, applications and services is highly desired. The best candidate for this position would be a self-motivated individual who has a strong attention to detail and preferably prior experience in large scale network management servers and system servers. They must be able to work independently as well as part of a team, be comfortable in structure/semi-structured situations, be able to identify support gaps, and work pro-actively to get tasks done. GENERALIZED EXPERIENCE* Required - Shall have twelve (12) years experience in system engineering. Seven (7) years experience shall have occurred within the past ten (10) years.* * Required - Shall have two (2) years experience in the cleared environment.* * Desired - Experience in developing documentation required to support a program's technical issues and training situations.* * Desired - Five (5) years experience with Object Oriented and Structured development methodologies, networks, data storage, data modeling, data ontologies, security architectures and CASE tool selection and use.* * Desired - Five (5) years experience integrating COTS and GOTS products from multiple vendors.* SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:* Required - Experience in performing and providing technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting systems requirements reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, developing system architectures, and performing technical/nontechnical assessment and management as well as end-to-end flow analysis.* * Highly Desired: Linux Systems Engineering and Cloud Computing experience in installing, administering, and supporting Linux operating systems across several Linux platforms including: RedHat, CentOS, Fedora, and Solaris.
