Title:Senior Mission Systems Avionics Systems EngineerCONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARDKBR is seeking a Senior Mission Systems Avionics Systems Engineer to join our Team! You will be a high-performing member of Systems Engineering team supporting NAVAIR PEO-T. As the Avionics Systems Engineer, you will support the execution of an advanced development and research program by working with program teams to integrate new capabilities, derive requirements, develop program specifications and detailed schedules.Support and coordinate technical reviews, data analysis and reports, and monitor and report team and contract status/execution.Support the development of acquisition and technical documentation. Responsible for open architecture systems engineering solutions across multiple avionics sensors, computing systems, and software.Coordinate technical program status and execution throughout the design, engineering, integration, test, and program execution process.Responsible for analyzing manufacturers' proposals as permitted by law and regulation. Develop, execute, monitor, and report status on program efforts, including trade studies, operational comparisons, and appraisals of mission systems architecture design and performance.As the Mission Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for program technical execution, coordination, risk management, and communication of concerns/issues with management and technical leadership.Coordinate functions between government and manufacturer(s) along with the operational subject matter experts, warfighters, and program management leaders involved in program planning and execution.You will generate plans, technical reports, and briefings to keep the customer informed.You will interface daily with government and other contractor personnel in a team environment.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university is required.A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Avionics Systems and/or Sensor Systems Engineering is required.A current Top Secret Clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 6 years is required.Knowledge of DoD systems engineering processes, acquisition and technical documentation, and specification development is required.Preferred ExperienceMust be able to work in a dynamic, complex security environmentExcellent written and verbal communicationsProficient in all Microsoft Office and Adobe productsProfessionalism and customer serviceTravel: 10-15% travel is requiredContract requirements will prevail.
