Dunham, Aukamp & Rhodes, PLC is seeking a future leader for the current position of Audit Manager, with potential ownership possibility, to be a part of the continued growth and success of a public accounting firm serving the Northern Virginia and the DMV metro area.Dunham, Aukamp & Rhodes, PLC is a professional corporation of certified public accountants located in Chantilly, Va. As Audit Manager, the successful candidate will review and supervise audit, review and compilation engagements for a variety of industries. Experience with audits of local governmental entities, non-profits and government contractors is a plus.Responsibilities include:Reviewing financial statements, management letters, supporting work papers, trial balances, adjusting entries, and client data for accuracy, reasonableness, and completeness.Responsible for gaining an understanding of the client's internal controls and performing the risk assessment.Working with engagement Partner to coordinate planning, fieldwork, job completion, and file wrap up.Review draft deliverables prepared by engagement teams and present final results to engagement Partner.Research and analyze financial statements and audit issues.Prepare GAAP, Governmental and Uniform Guidance Audit compliant financial statements with disclosures.The Audit Manager is responsible for monitoring of work, including coaching and supervision of staff, review of reports and returns, oversight of engagement time and expense, and oversight of progress.Will maintain and develop client relationships and contribute to business development.Qualifications include:Currently licensed CPA with a minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting required.At least 5 years of current and progressive public accounting experienceUnderstanding of GAAS, GAS, audit procedures, and financial analysis techniques.Experience supervising audit staff and preparing financial statements, including financial statement notes, and required supplementary statements and schedules.Strong project management, analytical, research, and written and verbal communication skills, combined with a high level of attention to detail.Self-starter, able to multi-task, remain organized, and meet deadlines.Experience preparing Federal and State tax returns, for individuals, businesses and non-profits.
