Job Title: Principal Systems EngineerResponsibilities:The Principal Systems Engineer is required to accommodate the rapid growth of Nuance's Enterprise Cloud Delivery Services Infrastructure. An experienced Principal Systems Engineer is sought to plan and lead Infrastructure delivery. The position is essential to enable the growth of our global infrastructure at both Hosted and Azure Cloud datacenters.The Principal Systems Engineer will provide technical leadership performing the Engineering, Automation, and Integration of Systems & Storage Infrastructure to support Enterprise Cloud Delivery Services architectures and business unit integrations.Daily responsibilities include interacting with Architecture, Product, Operations, Information Security, and PMO-based project teams to ensure operational availability. Perform design initiatives to enable new automated services, and documentation of highly complex technical environments. Candidates must be well versed in development of Server, Storage and Networking technologies acquired through 10+ years in designing complex computing environments.Hands-on technical skills are required for this is position.Provide Engineering and Design contributions to complex, highly available secure global computing environment.Engineer secure computing infrastructure solutions that meet customer and Enterprise Cloud Delivery Services requirements & standards. These solutions must be easily and securely deployed within Enterprise Cloud delivery services, hosting, and third-party Cloud environments.Experience with PCI, SOC2, HIPPA, and ISO standards. Prior work experience in a PCI-compliant environment highly desirable.Identify and implement best security practices for all systems and service deployments.Define the technical requirements for new deployments based on contracts signed with customers.Drive technical discussions with internal customers to finalize requirements and system engineering requirements to translate into computing infrastructure.Provide third-level support for deployed systems.Obtain quotes from different suppliers as needed for the required equipment.Track shipments and installation set-up to meet project deadlines.Participate in the definition and specification of the datacenter's computing services and platforms.Participate in the development of tools and processes to enhance deployment productivity and efficiency.Required Skills:Experience with Puppet Infrastructure Development.Experience with Chocolatey, creating nupkg packages.Experience with GIT.Experience with Terraform.Experience with Azure Cloud.Experience with vulnerability management.Experience with current IT technologies including Windows, Linux (Redhat and derivatives), and vSphere.Experience optimizing operational efficiency.Experience designing and automating, computing infrastructures supporting hosted operations within large-scale, global deployments.Experience in System Architecture or Systems Engineering for integration into IP-based network infrastructures.Demonstrated problem solving, capacity planning and process creation skills.Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.Attention to detail with methodical problem-solving approach.Excellent time management skills.Impeccable customer service and communication skills. Preferred Skills:Experience with Kubernetes.Knowledgeable in current IT Virtualization platforms and technologies including vSphere and Dell VxRail.Experience in TDM/SIP telephony delivery and troubleshooting.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in systems management or computer science preferred.10+ years' experience in Systems Automation, Engineering, and Security, for integration into IP-based Network InfrastructuresNuance offers a compelling and rewarding work environment.
