Courteously and efficiently serves residents.Functions:Maintains a working knowledge of all dining room responsibilities and proceduresMaintains a clean environment for residents in the dining roomUnderstands proper table setting for each mealMust have the ability to make beverages (orange juice, iced tea, etc.)Refills salt/pepper shakers and sugar bowls before and following each mealResponsible for cleanliness of table linen and table wareReports any broken equipment, dishes, etc. to supervisorUnderstands cafeteria and sit-down serviceAttends staff meetings and in-services as requiredPerforms other duties as assignedAssists residents when filling out menusMust be attentive to the special needs of residentsAssists in tray serviceMust be polite, considerate of residents, co-workers and immediate supervisorREQUIREMENTSMust be in designated uniform during working hoursMust be able to read and follow simple instructionsMust possess the ability and willingness to perform simple, repetitive tasksMust be able to learn quickly and apply principles learnedMust be able to communicate effectively and work under close supervisionMust be able to lift, bend, reach and pull.
