3 shifts available: Sun Thurs, 3pm11pm EST Tues Sat, 3pm11pm EST MF (ends on Saturday morning), 11pm 7am Customer Service / Operations Agent Job Description Job Title: Customer Service / Operations Agent Broad Scope of Position: Assist clients from order taking to job completion. Monitor all aspects of job while in transit until completion Reports to: Lead Status: NonExempt Position Responsibilities: (including but are not limited to:) Take job orders from clients, (including but, not limited to routing shipments, classifying of service type, establishing a deadline and printing the job order) Maintain a high level of quality data entry and recordkeeping Provide clients with continuous notification and followup (including but not limited to flight and customs delays, proofofdelivery, charges, problem resolution,) Work closely with Quick offices, service partners and Q/A representatives to ensure continuous followup Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients Includes understanding the clients internal requirements and nuances to better service their needs Demonstrate ability to produce quality work on a consistent basis Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Demonstrate ability to work through problems with service partners, airlines and carriers with minimal assistance Review and check all documentation for domestic transport, export or import of international shipments Review Dangerous Goods declarations for accuracy Assist and provide guidance to client and internal / external staff on specialized job orders, price quotes, billing questions or logistical areas such as warehousing, Dangerous Goods regulations, Customs, USDA, FDA or other government agencies Understand and embrace the company mission by providing the highest quality global transportation and logistics services for our customers Ensure compliance with all required training certifications Essential Skills and Abilities Required: Ability to identify and solve problems Strong interpersonal and communication skills Computer proficiency (Word / Excel) Time Management: ability to organize and manage multiple priorities Knowledge of international & domestic airline routings, worldwide geography & time zones Strong team player Must be flexible to work nights, weekends and holidays Physical Demands: The Employee is required to communicate with clients continuously via telephone & computer While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to walk; sit; use hands; reach with hands and arms; balance & stoop The employee is required to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds Must be able to view computer monitors both at close range and distance Experience: Customer Service experience preferred Knowledge of Dangerous Goods/Restricted Article Regulations Preferred The employee is expected to adhere to all company policies Read and UnderstoodEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to https://www.adeccousa.com/candidate-privacyThe Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records
