The Buttery, a leader in the local food movement, is seeking dedicated and dynamic restaurant professionals to join our full-time wait staff team. Located in historic Millwood, VA, The Buttery is an eatery offering seasonally-driven farm-to-table fare alongside global and local wines, craft beer, cider, and seasonal cocktails. We work hard to create the best experience for our customers and to provide a fun and supportive environment in which our employees can learn and grow. Our full-service eatery is open for dinner Thursday - Saturday as well as Sunday brunch. Part- and full-time positions are available, with fantastic opportunities for advancement. KeyResponsibilities: Daily setup and breakdown of The Buttery for service Bussing, cleaning, resetting tables Interacting with customers to provide professional and friendly service Greeting and seating customers Taking orders and delivering food Maintaining knowledge of The Buttery's products and offerings Participating in training and meetings Maintaining cleanliness and organization of work spaces Working special events Key Qualifications: At least one year of experience in a high-volume dine-in restuarant Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to self-manage and multi-task Strong communication and collaborative skills Demonstrated service experience Must be over 18 to serve alcohol Wine and beer knowledge is a plus What We Offer: Part-time and Full-time positions available Paid training Base pay of $5/hour + tips Access to employer-sponsored medical insurance (open to full-time or full-time equivelant employees) Meal stipend Employee discount Supportive team environment Tremendous growth potential within a fast growing company Our ideal team member is outgoing and friendly, detail-oriented and self-motivated, dependable, and, above all else, enthusiastic about food.
