Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounting Manager in Point of Rocks, MD.Summary:The client is looking for someone that has manufacturing experience and is comfortable doing technical accounting research. They are PE backed and will be making acquisitions so someone that can do or has the -chops- to perform accounting for business combinations and purchase accounting and can compile financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. They would like someone that can also be hands on in the ME close process, understands the impact of accounting transactions, and enforcing internal controls. This role will have indirect supervision for now over plant personnel, AP, and AR until its mapped out as to who they decide who will formally report to them. There are 4 billers who report to a Senior Accountant, this position, the Assistant Controller, a Cash Manager, and the CFO in accounting. * Would like someone ideally with a CPA and a combination of both public and corporate accounting (Will take a step-up Senior Accountant too) * Will send straight corporate if they have a strong corporate manufacturing background, solid tenure, and good education (MBA, Masters, CPA, etc.) Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
