Kforce has a client in Chantilly, VA that is seeking a Database Developer.Responsibilities: * In this role, the Database Developer will work effectively as a database developer within cross-functional, agile teams * Design and develop custom database application capabilities using PostgreSQL and Oracle * Extract, transform, and load data using custom scripts * Program in PL/pgSQL and/or PL/Python * Tune SQL queries for better performance * Build database validation scripts to be used with CI/CD pipeline * The Database Developer will diagnose/debug faults in complex services or distributed systems * Support application team with database needs * Create production data modification scripts * Maintain data dictionary using Toad Data Modeler * Perform work under continuous deadline pressure * The Database Developer wil identify and script automatable problems, test and perform work with efficiency in mind * Bachelor's degree in Science or related field * 5 years of experience working with large databases Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
