REMOTE Accounting Manager (Jo-2201-146021)
Our client seeks a temporary Senior Accountant/Manager to add to their growing Finance and Accounting department. This person will be responsible for working with the team to achieve the department's primary goals which include the following:Incorporate GAAP Procedures into month-end close processesIncrease efficiency in all processes and decrease month-end close timingProvide affiliates with exceptional customer service and the financial tools necessary to run their businesses successfully Their team is in a transitional state which includes continuous improvements to our month-end close processes to meet audit requirements and increase efficiency while also providing internal financial reporting to the individual business leaders. This requires the right candidate to have the ability to embrace change and to be flexible in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:Review and analyze cash reconciliations prepared by staff accountants to ensure compliance with GAAP and industry best practices.Review and analyze transactions posted to the general ledger to ensure accurate accounting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Company Policy.Prepare and analyze complex reconciliations to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.Prepare/review financial reports that are informative and insightful to management in driving business success.Analyze processes and procedures to assist the department in developing best practices, creating efficiencies, generating accurate data, and improving the control environment.Assist the accounting managers in coaching, training, and supervising the staff accountants by applying industry knowledge and previous experience to our department tasks.
