This full-time employment opportunity is based in the Cambridge, Maryland area.How you will make an impact- Put together diversified policies, procedures, and technical accounting analyses- Encourage to ensure a competent, trained staff through goal setting, regular assessment, and development- Encourage accountability and the meeting of deliverables- Identify and develop process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency- Assist implementation and assure adherence to accounting policies and procedures- Direct the accounting team during the closing process to secure deadlines are met Requirements + Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related+ 5+ years of experience to include public accounting or corporate accounting & monthly close experience or a combination thereof+ Capable to handle monthly close process including financial statement preparation, accruals, fixed assets, audit workpapers, etc.+ Team player mentality and willingness to wear multiple hats including accounting, HR and business operations+ Detail oriented, ability to multi-task and prioritize, as well as communicate effectively with deadlines.
