The Associate Principal Operations Analyst supports the operational excellence and continuous process improvement of the Member Supervision Data Analytics & Technology team. This role will be tasked with executing key aspects of the teams internal processes and will frequently partner with our broader Business and Technology stakeholders.Key responsibilities include assisting and leading the administration of governance processes, team communications and senior management analysis & reporting. The Data Analytics & Technology Teams mission is to lead the strategic adoption of data analytics & technology solutions and capabilities, thereby amplifying our Departments ability to protect investors, uphold market integrity and manage risk. The ideal Associate Principal Operations Analyst candidate will:Essential Job Functions:Draft, refine and present materials that effectively communicate current state processes, opportunities for improvement and critical success factors for Data Analytics & Technology initiatives.Lead the creation of new or updated recurring senior management reports and analytics via Microsoft Excel, PowerBI or comparable tools.Communicate effectively and demonstrate strong written and verbal skills across a wide range of stakeholders and team members, including senior management throughout the organization.Execute day-to-day responsibilities (eg, drafting materials, status reporting, facilitating cross department meetings, meeting agendas, etc.) in support of operational initiatives.Develop and analyze complex datasets and reports for presentation to senior management.Provide guidance to staff members on existing and newly created products and reoccurring programs. Support buildout and maintenance of DA team communications and communications channels (eg, Team SharePoint site, Microsoft Teams, emails to the Department, etc.).Understand the teams broader strategy, operations, and processes in order to most effectively support management, including identification of interdependencies, risks and issues.Serve as a key stakeholder in cross-functional projects in support of the Data Analytics & Technology teams goals.Demonstrate strong collaboration and problem-solving skills to drive decisions in support of cross-functional projects with business users, technical teams, and other FINRA departments.Ensure the delivery of high-quality work products with strong attention to detail.Help develop and maintain a positive and supportive work environment and culture.Education/Experience Requirements:Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of related experience.Demonstrated organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and work independently are required.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly the ability to synthesize complex issues/scenarios into easy-to-understand concepts.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other similar data analysis and data visualization tools preferred. A client-focused mindset, with strong organizational and presentation skills.
