About the Role: The Maintenance Generalist is responsible for general maintenance and repair of NLCS equipment and buildings. Some responsibilities include: Performs journeyman level maintenance and repair work across NLCS facilities to include: plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning and refrigeration facilities and equipment Assumes independent responsibility for the overall maintenance of facilities during other than normal working hours Makes repairs to electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment as needed Performs other repairs, replacements and installation which may include: drywall, plumbing, electrical, light bulbs fixtures and ballasts, ceiling tiles, floor tiles, washer/dryer, household appliance(s), water tower, chiller equipment, commercial kitchen, medical equipment, fan coil units, heating units, televisions and physical therapy equipment Participates in external and internal facility and equipment painting Performs boiler room operations and maintenance; maintains storage room maintenance Conducts chemical water testing for boilers, chill water and cooling tower To be successful in this role: High School Diploma or equivalent Four (4) or more years of related experience in maintenance, boiler plant, and HVAC equipment Thorough knowledge of refrigeration, boilers, electrical and plumbing required Knowledge of local codes, ordinances and safety regulations; supplies and equipment used in maintenance and engineering preferred Ability to read and interpret blue prints and diagrams a plus
