We take into account individual circumstances and the individual employee.Scope of work: Specimen Collections/Vital Signs: . Set up workstation/ supplies . Great patients/ guest professionally and in a friendly manner . Direct traffic as needed to ensure flow and safe traffic patterns . Verify patients name, date of birth and reason for testing . Explain vital sign process to patient/ guardians . Obtain vital signs using equipment provided & retake abnormal vital signs . Correctly document vital sign . Explain specimen collection process . Obtain 1-2 Anterior Nasal Swab Specimens from patients, collect throat swab from patient as needed for Strep Testing in accordance with testing guidelines . Properly Seal specimens and prepare for processing . Maintain & check specimen for proper specimen labeling . Explain to the patient the next steps . Maintain clean work area . Change PPE and maintain proper hand hygiene and standard precautions . Wear Proper PPE at all times . Assist patients with any questions and request . Assist with setup of e-visit provider visits . Document medical information as needed for medical records . Read/ dictate patient information (symptoms, v/s and PMSHx to providers) . Ensure proper communication is established between e-visit provider and patient by checking audio and video feed is properly functioning . Troubleshoot any mechanical issues with Wi-Fi, e-visit equipment and office equipment . Maintain inventory and supply count . Organize office/ medical supplies . Ensure supplies requiring battery charge are appropriately stored & setup for charging . Collaboratively work in a team environment . Maintain safety standards in guidance with OSHA, COLA, CLIA and CDC recommendations . Insure proper disposal of biohazardous waste products . Empty trash cans, clean breakroom, and workstations as needed . May be asked to switch roles/ cover for other staff as needed . Complete other duties as assigned by directors, administrators, managers, supervisors, providers & leads . Assist with maintaining clean and safe outdoor & indoor work areas .
