Please note that candidates MUST submit a cover letter and resume to be considered for this position.Little Leaves Behavioral Services provides high quality, critical early intervention programs designed to nurture the growth and development of young children with social, behavior, and/or language challenges. Little Leaves provides a range of in-home, at-school, and clinic-based ABA services for children with developmental delays, especially Autism Spectrum Disorders in Northern VA, the DC metro area, the Baltimore metro area, and the South Florida, FL area.Little Leaves is a center-based applied behavior analysis (ABA) program for young children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder run in a preschool-like setting. The Little Leaves Center program runs Monday through Friday from 8:30 am - 5 pm. During the day, children have the opportunity to participate in individual therapy time, small group activities with peers, and activities of daily living. While many clients are at Little Leaves for the full day, an individualized schedule is developed for each child based on his/her therapeutic needs. Little Leaves currently has centers in Silver Spring, MD; Germantown, MD; White Marsh, MD; Columbia, MD; Millersville, MD; Reston, VA; Alexandria, VA; Ashburn, VA, and Weston, FL. They deliver the majority of a child's individualized therapy hours based on the plans and protocols developed by the Supervising Behavior Analyst and collect data on a child's progress.Reports to: Center DirectorResponsibilities:Provide 1:1 ABA therapy with client(s) with autism spectrum disorders in the Little Leaves CenterShadow client(s) 1:1 to facilitate learning in groupsWork as part of a team to ensure that clients receive the highest quality therapyFollow specific protocol for each client and implement individualized ABA programs consistentlyCollect data throughout each session in a timely and efficient mannerCreate program materials for individual clients as neededReport client progress to supervisorAttend periodic team meetingsParticipate in introductory and ongoing training programs that provide instruction in ABABe energetic, creative, and imaginative when working with children who have developmental delaysKeep therapy appointments as per scheduleBe punctual and responsibleMay provide some therapy sessions at home or in community-based settingsDesired Qualifications:We are seeking a professional with a commitment and enthusiasm to helping children and familiesThe ideal candidate would be drug-free, reliable, efficient, and have a strong work ethicBachelors or Associates (or the equivalent credit hours) in Psychology, Special Education, Social Work, or related field, requiredCommitment to earning a Registered Behavior Technician credential within 90 days of hire including a willingness to sit for RBT exam (training and supervision provided by Little Leaves)Experience working with children with special needs, eg , autism or developmental delays (at least 1 year experience) strongly preferredAbility to follow instructional guidance and to follow ABA programsAbility to interact well with children, families and colleaguesAbility to work collaboratively as a therapy team memberAbility to work well independently and seek assistance when neededPossess strong attention to detail for data collectionOrganized, flexible and willing to take constructive feedback and apply it to improve the quality of programming and one's own professional developmentStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAble to maintain client confidentialityRecord of success in previous positions as evidenced by excellent referencesTechnologically adept and enthusiasticPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift, push, pull children up to 40 pounds, and able to complete the physical demands of the job (frequent sitting and standing, sitting on and getting up from the floor, kneeling, bending, and running with children).Health and Safety Requirements:In our continuing effort to protect the health and safety of our employees, students, clients, families and visitors, FullBloom requires that all candidates for employment who receive a conditional offer of employment from the Company must:Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or consent to weekly COVID testing.Wear an approved mask if and when reporting to a physical work site where they are interacting with others.Compensation:$20/hourFull-time position (30-40 hours/week)Eligible for benefits, including health, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, life and disability insurancePositive work environment with extensive training and supervisionOur Company:We are a professional organization with a powerful social objective: to become a national leader in programs for children with autism and unique learning needs.
