This includes providing an enterprise approach to application development utilizing agile methodologies that deliver timely, reliable, andsecure solutions that meet customer expectations. Responsible for system conceptual architectural design activity that will identify which system requirement shall be allocated to which elements of the system.Duties and responsibilities:Perform architecture design to ensure system's functional and non-functional requirements are addressed, requirements are allocated to the elements of the system, internal andexternal interfaces of each system element are defined, verification between the system requirements and the system architectures is performed, the requirements allocated to thesystem elements and their interfaces are traceable to the Agency's requirement baseline, consistency and traceability between system requirements and system architecture design is maintained, the system requirements, the system architecture design, and their relationships are baselined and communicated to all affected parties.Develop and integrate human factors and ergonomics knowledge and techniques into the system design and perform all human-centered design activities that are identified.Incorporate security considerations into the architectural design to ensure that the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the system and its data are not compromised. As primarily non-functional requirements, special attention shall be paid to Information Assurance capabilities as they pertain to the overall architectural design. The ideal candidate will have experience with code standard best practices.Ensure all output meets all applicable regulatory requirements including 508 compliance.Ensure outputs of these development efforts are intuitive and do not require excessive user training to obtain the required functionality.Ensure the efforts result in reliable and high performing products.Complete efforts within the production schedule.Perform co-walkthrough and peer review.Develop codes that are well documented, reusable, and object-oriented whenever possible.Codes are properly versioned and documented/commented and properly checked in/out of the source code repository.Develop guidance products such as training materials, user and maintenance manuals, online help, and installation and conversion software. Place the successfully reviewed unit under Government developmental configuration control.Conduct Unit and Integration Testing.Submit any design CRs that may be required due to coding or implementation limitations. Ensure all design changes are approved prior to implementing in code and submitting for review.Establish and maintain a development environment such that tools used to develop and test the software are selected, procured, and installed, including development tools, source control tools, third-party application libraries, and test simulators.Place the development environment under CM control so that changes to the environment are tracked.Maintain the JSP source control repository and documentation.Requirements:Understanding of Software Engineering and System Development Life CycleUnderstanding of Agile methodology.Excellent communication skillsExperience supporting Enterprise Systems.Dev/Sec/Ops Experience a plusKnowledge and Experience7-10 years of experienceBA/BS or equivalent years of experienceSecret Clearance.
