You'll have an opportunity to work on world-class military programs that support the US Navy's Warfare technology. The applicant will work as part of the micro-systems technology group.Primary tasking will be supporting the Target Detection technical team on target detection/recognition of high value targets, object recognition, and developing target recognition tools using Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Signal Processing approaches. Projects supported will include developing advanced Micro-electromechanical systems, electronic hardware, and embedded systems.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Minimum BS degree in Computer or Electrical EngineeringSKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:Experience with programming languages such as C++, Python, and JavaExperience with developing ML and AI data flows, algorithms, and implementing on hardwareExperience with microprocessors design and digital signal processing techniquesExperience with MATLAB, Power Point, MS Word & ExcelA self-starter able to work on tasks individually or as part of a small technical teamDemonstrated ability to communicate, both orally and in writingPhysical Requirements:Light lifting required during field testsGood physical condition, agility, dexterity and an ability to fully function in a shipboard, at-sea environmentAbility to climb ladders and stairways, lift and handle various types of marine equipment (max 40 lbs) while on and off various size vesselsTravel to other Navy sites, test ranges, and contractor sites in CONUS may be required (occasionally)OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation.
