If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.We are a leading producer of powered thread-checking and thread- reconditioning equipment, looking to appoint a Mechanical Design Engineer to be responsible for the design, implementation, and proveout of engineering projects.The successful candidate will collaborate with others on the engineering team on complex projects, and work with the manufacturing team to ensure that the equipment functions as expected.Key ResponsibilitiesThe key responsibilities of a Mechanical Design Engineer include, but are not limited to:Lead, or be in sole responsibility for, the design, detailing, and sustaining engineering of projects from small equipment orders to large complex automated mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.Communicate with sales and customers to ensure project requirements and expectations are met.Apply engineering principles, analytical skills, and empirical methods to develop robust designs.Generate engineering documents, drawings, and specifications to internal and industry standards, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.Lead, contribute to and participate in technical reviews.
