We're looking for people who want to disrupt the travel industry and love to travel as much as we do.As a DataOps Engineer at Cloudbeds, your goal is to constantly improve and scale our SaaS platform to deliver an exceptional experience to our customers. You will be responsible for the building, operating, automating, and monitoring of our real-time data infrastructure and pipelines, while enabling and collaborating with architecture, platform, and DevOps teams to efficiently deliver high-quality projects. You will have endless opportunities for architecture design and implementation with Data Ecosystem at Cloudbeds that is powered with AWS platform in a largely bottom-up and healthy debate team culture. As a DataOps Engineer, you will help us in providing the highest quality full-stack management solution for hotels, B&B's, hostels, and vacation rentals all over the world.Location: Remote - US/CanadaWhat You Will DoArchitect and improve Cloudbeds' Data Infrastructure and Operations in AWS.Automate, maintain and manage Kafka (Confluent) infrastructure on Kubernetes. Build operational components of the systems for day-1 onwards activities such that business stays ON.Tune and enhance the major system components to calibrate the performance and reliability. Collaborate and implement security practices for all the data software infrastructure and pipelines Drive successful data platform projects to production.Support software development processes via CI/CD pipelines via GitOps.You'll Succeed With5+ years experience as a DevOps Engineer, working with AWS/GCP/Azure or On-Prem environments.2+ years of strong experience with Kafka Administration and Operations1+ years experience in Kubernetes and containers.Strong Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting technologies (Prometheus, Grafana, Alert Manager, Datadog).Hands-on experience performing capacity planning and performance testing/tuning of large-scale Kafka clusters.Experience with Data infrastructure-as-code methodologies.Experience with designing, building, and supporting CI/CD pipelinesKnowledge on connecting with Kubernetes cluster to validate deployment states.Use monitoring tools like Datadog and Prometheus/Grafana to view applications logs.Exceptional written and verbal communication in English.Ability to work remotely and manage your own time in an international team.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.Nice To HavesExperience as Cassandra DBA or Elasticsearch OperationsExperience implementing and scaling Elastic Kubernetes (EKS) platforms.Experience implementing blue/green and canary deployments.Hands-on skills in linux system administrationExperience working in an Agile Scrum team with Jira.Experience working in a PCI-compliant environment.Basic knowledge of Helm charts and Helm Releases.AWS IAM roles and policies, System Parameter Store, S3 buckets (versioning, policies, and data tiering).Hands-on experience with using AWS Console and command line.Our company culture supports flexible working schedules with an open PTO policy, personal and professional development for individual growth, and the opportunity to travel and work remotely with great people.
