Duties

As a/an EXHIBITS INFORMATION SPECIALIST- Temporary Promotion NTE 1 Year, you will:

- Coordinates phases of the project(s) with a variety of teams and internal or external stakeholders.
- Manages the renovation project, overseeing and maintaining the schedules, logistics, and internal communications.
- Coordinates phases of the project(s) with a variety of teams and internal or external stakeholders.
- Develops, tracks, and analyzes project schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring that all relevant staff are aware of the project status.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service . One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.   • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Must successfully complete a background investigation.

  • Qualifications

    You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

    Specialized experience for the GS-13 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-12 level, or equivalent, that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes exhibit coordination and providing extensive research regarding various historical exhibit projects. Examples of such experience could include:
    - Assisting with the creation of historical exhibit themes; OR
    - Providing research from various resources regarding exhibition material; OR
    - Managing projects related to research or development of exhibits; OR
    - Giving presentations regarding museum curation.


    In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
    For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12level for 52 weeks.
