Duties

• You will serve as an Information Technology Specialist providing complex management, incident response, network security auditing and Data Center Management.
• You will serve as the principal staff advisor to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) on all matters relating to vulnerabilities and threats.
• You will serve as a Cyber Operations/Management Member and Service as a subject-matter-expert (SME) providing guidance for the development of long and short term plans and policies as it relates to Computer Network Defense (CND).
• You will serve as the customer focal point for the resolution of customer requirements and issues through the formation of liaison support with the Service Desk Tier 1 and Tier II staff.
• You will provide specific guidance to infrastructure personnel exposures and remediation requirements as it relates to Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM).
• You will perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

For all Information Technology position applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

1. CYBERSECURITY-Protect and defend information and information systems in order to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability. (AKA Information Assurance)
2. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CUSTOMER SUPPORT-Provide functional and/or technical support to customers to ensure validation of requirements and delivery of Information Technology capabilities.
3. ORAL COMMUNICATION-Demonstrates ability to clearly and effectively articulate, present, and promote varied ideas and issues (to include sensitive or controversial topics) before a wide range of audiences. Makes clear and convincing oral presentations. Listens effectively; clarifies information as needed.
4. PROBLEM SOLVING-Identifies and analyzes problems; weighs relevance and accuracy of information; seeks/generates and evaluates alternative perspectives/solutions; makes timely/effective recommendations, based on potential implications of findings or conclusions. Critically evaluates to identify the causes of problems, and chooses courses of action that balance the interests of the mission and stakeholders. AND

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

(1) Experience and knowledge of IA processes and function (e.g.-DOD, Navy, Intelligence Community, National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST), DISA, etc.), particularly those associated with telecommunications, assessment & authorization encryption, cross-domain solutions, and the risk management framework.

(2) Experience and knowledge identifying and evaluating highly effective systems design methodologies and benchmarking best practices from industry and other government organizations.

(3) Experience and knowledge providing authoritative analysis decisions and recommendations as a result of an IA-based requirements evaluation.
