Duties

• You will be responsible for overall effectiveness of the assigned work in terms of cost, quality, and timeliness, of completion, and coordination and integration of all products, services and labor resources.
• You will ensure critical nuclear/non-nuclear overhaul jobs are identified and included in schedules.
• You will review cost and progress reports to anticipate and/or initiate corrective action prior to exceeding cost limits or failing to meet production schedules.
• You will provide creative, innovative and original ideas to increase the efficiency, productivity and cost savings of Shop 64 and Service Group Production work.
• You will attend pre-arrival conferences to answer questions and eliminate problems prior to ships arrival.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Experience applying comprehensive and intensive practical knowledge of the nuclear and non-nuclear production trade and technical methods, procedures, materials, and processes.

Experience providing broad administrative knowledge and experience planning and coordinating complex ship repair, overhaul and installation projects to understand scheduling, and resource and qualification requirements.

Extensive experience in project management, quality control, cost control, schedule control, and work flow control techniques.

Experience investigating and analyzing practices and problems and recommending effective improvements and solutions.
