The St. James is looking for Barista team members to join the team at our new Performance Club located at Reston Town Center, Virginia. The St. James is the premier sports, wellness, and active entertainment destination brand in the country, with the mission to maximize human potential by designing, developing, and operating sports, wellness and entertainment destinations that engage, inspire, and empower people to pursue their passions and be their best at play, at work and in life. Our new location at Reston Town Center features a premium Performance Club, with intentionally designed spaces, state of the art equipment and performance-based programming. We need to identify, select, and train a team of passionate teammates who can deliver on our promise to provide excellence in all we do, including provide comprehensive results in a premium hospitality fitness environment.RESPONSIBILITIES:Promote healthy nutritional options for members by preparing and serving smoothies and grab and go food options. Make sure to follow all recipes exactly and modify as members request.Make sure to clean and sanitize all work areas in line with industry food and beverage standards. Maintain an organized workspace to ensure that all team members can find supplies and inventory as needed. Be able to properly ring up members for their orders, take payment and provide change as needed.Collaborate with the Caf Manager to maintain sufficient inventory levels of supplies to run the business. Welcome members to the caf and help them with their orders by asking questions and helping them get what they want. Acknowledge each member when they enter the caf. Provide excellent customer service to each member next in line. If it is busy, acknowledge the other members and let them know you will be with them shortly. Keep equipment operating correctly and follow the recommended maintenance and cleaning schedules. Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge. Maintain a calm demeanor and elevated level of hospitality at all times, including when there are many members in the caf at one time.Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customers for municate clearly with team members, Caf Manager and Members.Follows Vim and Victor operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling, safety, and security, to ensure the safety of all team members during each shift.Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.Maintain regular and punctual attendance.Support the safety of all members, guests, and employees.QUALIFICATIONS:Previous food and beverage experience preferred but not required. Previous customer service experience preferred but not required. Effective communication and listening skills.Basic safety experience and knowledge.Consistent record of punctuality and attendance. Strong soft skills and people skills. Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays.The ability to engage with and understand our customers, including discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication.The ability to prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredientsAvailable to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift.Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
