Duties

As a WS-5703-6, Motor Vehicle Operator Supervisor, your duties may include but are not limited to the following:
  • Ensuring that supplies and materials are picked up and delivered between three Clinical Center warehouse locations.
  • Overseeing the work involving the unloading, stacking, binning, rotating, and marking stock and the checking of shipping documents to verify incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Assigning, directing and reviewing the work of subordinates and evaluating their work performance.
  • Participating with incumbent's supervisor in the planning of current and future work schedules, budgeting requests and staffing needs and making recommendations as to scheduling projected work.
  • Recommending solutions to staffing problems and work operations directed by other supervisors.

  • U.S. Citizenship requirement or proof of being a U.S. National must be met by closing date.

Motor Vehicle Operator Supervisor, WG-5703-6
Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position. The approved job elements for this occupation are listed as follows:
  • Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to supervise motor vehicle operators and material handlers (Screen-out Element).
  • Ability to plan and direct the work of the unit.
  • Ability to operate motor vehicles.
  • Ability to follow motor vehicle safety and operating laws, requirements and procedures.
  • Ability to ensure the receipt, storage and shipment of materials.
