Description Job Description:Leidos is looking to hire a Systems Engineering Architect Lead to manage an SE/Architecture team. The qualified candidate will work hand-in-hand with technical and program management leadership along with various external stakeholders, to help design and implement the next generation desktop and web based production and dissemination system. This position will require experience across multiple System Engineering and architecture domains with a focus on standing up and maintaining cloud environments, and the deployment of custom code, COTS, and GOTS to those environments with a Geospatial focus.Responsibilities:This position involves leading systems engineering activities that support building and delivering new and innovative systems to implement analytics, exploitation, production and dissemination using web, remote desktop, and cloud technologies.Become a subject matter expert (SME) for the baseline, with the ability to communicate the system's features, architecture, roadmap, and limitations to a variety of audiencesCollaborate with other program technical leadership on the system architecture roadmap and backlog aligned to customer's technology strategy and vision.Decompose requirements, use cases, and need statements into epics and features with clearly defined acceptance criteria that will be assigned to agile development teamsAssist in designing and documenting solutions to enhance ICAM service adoption throughout the customer agencyExecute analysis of alternatives (AoA) and prototypes to determine the design of new system features and capabilities, then author white papers on your findingsParticipate and provide subject matter expertise in technical exchange meetings and other customer or stakeholder forumsManage the system requirements and maintain requirements and interface control documentsCreate and communicate design artifacts to the team to ensure applications and services are built to support the business and architecture objectivesProvide subject matter expertise and support agile development teams in the continuous integration of epics and featuresCommunicate architectural decisions, plans, goals, and strategies to executive managementCore Qualifications:Requires BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 + years of prior relevant experience; OR 4 years of experience in lieu of degreeMust currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance, with ability to obtain SCI and Polygraph post hireExperience optimizing and managing AWS/cloud infrastructure cost including storage, compute, and databaseExperience with Windows and LinuxExperience with System (hardware, software and networking) Design and Architecture.Understanding of agile SW development methodologiesExperience developing a backlog and technical roadmapAbility to lead and prioritize a systems engineering and architecture team for a large program responsible for several systemsExperience with disaster recovery (ITDR) and data retentionExperience as a scrum master, product owner, systems engineer or architectPreparing presentations and leading/attending technical exchange meetingsExcellent communication skillsExperience briefing stakeholders at all levelsPreferred Qualifications:An active TS/SCI with a PolygraphDD8570 complianceExperience with GIS, specifically ESRI ArcGIS systems along with other technologies such as WMS, WFS, KMLExperience with various AWS capabilities and servicesExperience writing, maintaining, and describing architecture diagramsExperience optimizing Software deployments and reducing downtime, for example implementing a blue/green strategyTechnical certifications including Microsoft and/or AWSPay Range:
