Well-established manufacturing company in Cambridge is seeking an entry-level Engineering Technician. This position will be responsible for the inspection of first-piece samples, running tests, and troubleshooting problems with products. The ideal candidate will work with the engineering team to draft drawings, work on continuous improvement projects, and perform general administrative tasks. Job Requirements:Responsibilities: Visual and mechanical inspection of first piece samples per customer specifications. Effectively communicate with appropriate team members. Root cause analysis of abnormalities and non-conformances. Apply corrective actions to resolve defects and non-conformances. Verify corrective actions and document all relevant data. Maintain a safe and clean working environment. Work closely with the engineering team and loosely with the production and quality teams. Secondary Responsibilities: Assist with research, development, and continuous improvement projects. Assist with design work such as 3D modeling, CAM design and production planning. File management work such as engineering change notices and organization. Assist other departments/team members as necessary. Skills: Problem solving with a focus on root cause. Works well individually and as a part of a team. Efficient and effective communication Able to work towards and meet deadlines. Prioritization of tasks. Ability to learn quickly. Education: High School Diploma OR General Education Degree (GED). Currently enrolled in or successful completion an Engineering based program or degree. (Preferred) Must have previous experience (work or school) with 2D and/or 3D CAD modeling software. Must have previous experience (work or school) with Microsoft Excel. Ability to understand and comprehend verbal and written English instructions.
