Ludwick Eye Center is seeking our next Medical Assistant/Ophthalmic Technician! Our successful and growing ophthalmology practice is committed to providing excellent clinical and surgical outcomes and on-time patient care in a warm and friendly environment. We are seeking compassionate, motivated individuals to join our clinical team in our multi-office practice.Our Medical Assistant/Ophthalmic Technician position is a direct patient care position, supporting the provider by preparing the patient for their medical exam. This role includes on-the-job training.What You'll Do:. Communicate directly with the elderly patient demographic. Provide quality care to each patient. Use our electronic health record (EHR) system. Operate various pieces of diagnostic testing equipment. Measure visual acuity and eye pressure. Test side vision and eye muscle function. Test for new glasses prescription. Communicate with pharmacies and other medical offices. Stock and clean exam/testing rooms. Work as a team to ensure a successful dayThis position is located in our Hagerstown, MD location with rotation to our Chambersburg and Waynesboro, PA offices as needed.
