Location: Herndon, VA Salary: EXCELLENT Description: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Includes and is not limited to the following: Responsible for processing domestic and international payrolls on schedule to ensure timely and accurate payment to global employee base Review accuracy of domestic and international payrolls and act as primary back-up for processing domestic payroll when necessary Ensure proper approvals are obtained for all payroll related documentation for audit and compliance purposes Manual calculation of retroactive payments, overtime, shift differentials, relocation and housing allowances, garnishments, leaves, taxable benefits, etc. PTO program management within ADP Balance and reconcile payrolls Review completed payroll for accuracy and reconcile wages, taxes, and deductions Execute time sensitive journal entries and monthly reconciliations for Finance organization Generate reports (designed and ad-hoc) in a consistent manner for finance, human resources, and senior management Ensure accuracy of General Ledger downloads Assist Finance and HR with external and internal audits annually Maintain and update process documentation and manuals Review and reconcile quarterly tax filings and annual reports including W-2s and all other international employee statements Provide exceptional employee customer service (employment confirmations, garnishments, general employee/system issues) to a culturally diverse employee base Keep abreast of changes in wage and tax laws on both the domestic and international level and correspond with service bureaus and agencies as required Maintain organized and accurate payroll records Establish and maintain a positive and approachable working relationship with employees, service bureaus, agencies, and co-workers to promote a quality service image Maintain high degree of confidentiality and professionalism Supervisory Responsibilities: None Qualifications Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Associate Degree or High School diploma with relevant experience acceptable. Experience and Skills: Minimum 5 years hands-on payroll processing/management experience, preferably in 500+ employee international company(ies) FPC / CPP preferred or active pursuance of APA certification Experience using ADP Workforce Now product, knowledge of Oracle a plus Working knowledge of FLSA and state labor laws, employee benefits (as they apply to payroll), tax levies/child support/garnishments Knowledge of basic accounting principles, actual accounting experience preferred Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills Ability to collaborate, self-manage and motivate, focus on execution and accuracy Exceptional organizational skills Ability to effectively multi-task and flexibility to accommodate fluid work schedule during peak periods and international time difference Contact: chindle@judge.com This job and many more are available through The Judge Group.
