100% remote opportunityUnfortunately, we are not able to sponsor anyone now or anytime in the future.Reporting to the VP of Health Economics, the Director is responsible for overseeing a broad portfolio of sophisticated health economic, policy and advanced modeling research projects in a collaborative project team structure. The Director will perform, direct and/or oversee the application of a variety of research methods to deliver high quality, impactful and successful projects.Directors are responsible for developing and implementing research strategies and methodologies to ensure the scientific quality, timely delivery and financial performance of projects they are leading. Directors are expected to lead their project team in discussions with clients and effectively manage client relationships. They are expected to identify opportunities for future business and to present capabilities for services in order to secure new business. In addition, this position will ensure quality is maintained in all aspects of technical work as well as manage performance and ensure adequate training and support of staff. Some travel may be required for project management and/or business development.Essential DutiesLead and manage the execution of advanced modelling and/or health economic projects including but not limited to: advanced models (natural history, microsimulation, Markov, compartmental, among others); applied health economic models (cost-effectiveness, budget-impact, cost-consequence) as well as the potential for observational health economic studies (burden-of-illness, retrospective studies)Key project deliverables include: model/study conceptualization, development of analysis plans, programming of core economic models in R, R-shiny and MS Excel, model calibration, model validation, interpretation of model results and sensitivity analyses, protocol, technical report and manuscript writing Responsibilities include day-to-day project management, project delivery, management of project team tasks, overseeing execution, performing quality reviews, and managing client communicationsIdentifies and overseas parameterization of models from a variety of scientifically appropriate sources, including published literature, databases, interviews and/or surveys using scientifically valid methodsProvided strategic advice on acceptability of health economic models from the perspective of payers, policy stakeholders and Health Technology Assessment (HTA) agencies Advises quality assurance and quality control procedures on own and others' team members projectsGenerates repeat business from existing customers and pursues new business opportunities with potential customers that leverage the specific expertise of HEORQualificationsMaster's degree in a discipline related to health economics or modeling (economics, statistics/biostatistics, decision sciences, epidemiology, outcomes research), with a minimum 8 years of relevant research experience or a PhD plus 3 yearsStrong academic recordRequired SkillsProficiency with R, R-shiny, Microsoft Excel and Visual Basic for Applications (VBAA)Proficiency with Microsoft OfficeExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to work effectively individually and as part of a diverse teamExceptional organizational and time management skillsLine-manage and mentor team members and ensure positive team dynamicsLeadership experienceAbout UsFor today's innovators of tomorrow's cures, PRECISIONheor, part of Precision Medicine Group LLC, has the results-driven scientists, strategists and solutions our client's need to go from promises to proof, and evidence to access.
