International nonprofit is seeking a SENIOR FINANCE OFFICER. This is a newly created position to accommodate their growth in funding and expanded work. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy and integrity of recorded federal financial grant activity; provide internal analysis on the status of multi-year awards; and produce timely required reporting for the federal government. Also, will analyze federal award transactions; monitor cash drawdowns; and provide financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders. Work scenario is currently hybrid for remainder of 2022.RESPONSIBILITIES: . Monitor and coordinate financial activities for assigned projects (international grantees). Coordinate planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of project expenses. Provided full cycle accounting for projects and ensure compliance with organizational policies, audit regulations and USG donor requirements. Monitor program performance against budget and funding. Prepare invoice/billing for current and upcoming awards. Provide written and verbal notification to management regarding program cost variances.. Prepare month-end reporting and accounts reconciliations. Work with and advise programmatic and field staff on financial policies, procedures, audit compliance and donor requirements. Generate quarterly SF-425 reports and conduct unbilled analysis. Provide key support to Project Accounting Manager on special projects as well as coverage of certain responsibilities during absence. Assist Project Accounting Manager in planning and conducting financial training in the field and at HQ, as well as in preparing and supporting project and annual financial audits. Analyze and approved cost corrections. Support project startup and close out processNEEDED ELEMENTS: . 5+ years of relevant experience. Bachelor degree in accounting/finance.
